Where we all started, was a dark and stormy night 4 years ago.
NO no it was not, I started off just over 4 years ago with my very first 3d printer a small printer just to tinker with and see what this new technology was all about.
I am an avid tabletop gamer, and I had a semi bright idea, as I was horrified at the cost of what terrain for gaming cos so I thought why not see if we could offer cheaper but high quality terrain that would allow everyone bot take the table top gaming experience to the next leave and have stunning maps and games.
This lead to the one printer getting updated to a larger printer with a little but more tech as well as a search for designers that would allow the sale of their printed designing’s. we found multiple different designers and started some merchant licencing and started to advertise primary on a website and ebay, the sales were slow to start with but with each month new stunning designs came out and allowed more and more options.
This increase led to 1 printer becoming more and more and needing more space.
Unfortunately, with the cost of living the sales started to slow and we made the decision to change direction with the business and have changes the business name to be more in line with our new direction. We still will offer terrain as we have a few sets we have a lifetime licence for as well as other tabletop hobbies supplies (dice model bases and hobby desk racks etc).
Less then 12 months ago Here B Dragons came to life and we have not slowed down, we started off with just the printers used for the terrain (CR10-pros) great printers however only allowed single colour and we started off slow with just the one merchant licence with CinderWing 3D.
SO With Tania and her “Crazy T’s” Market stall I decided to give it a crack and off to my first mart we went, it was an eye opener as we only had a small selection and we think our pricing was a little off and only got 1 or 2 sales that first market, but we would not be deterred.
We then decided that after a few market we needed to bring something different to the customer and we got out first X1c printer that can do multiple colour prints and to say that was the start of a wonderful relationship. It opened a entire new world of what we could now print and offer. Since then the printers have increased and so have the amount of different designs and prints we now offer.
We now have 11 different designers and their designs to pick from and each month each designer released new designs and the hardest part is trying to decide what to print.
We started off at with a normal 3m stall however we have had to expand to a double stall now just to fit all the minis (last count just under 60 different minis and each month that only grows).
As the Paul Kelly song goes “From Little things big things grow” and we are continuing to grow and offering more and more unique designs and prints.
